The Position
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you act as the key interface between the plant and suppliers to ensure component compliance, prevent quality issues, and reduce non-quality costs — all while supporting the company’s Q/C/D/S/E objectives. Your mission is to guarantee the reliability of purchased components and strengthen supplier quality performance through preventive and corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
Component Compliance
- Validate initial sample submission packages (PPAP).
- Verify supplier compliance with drawings, specifications, and monitoring plans.
Non-Conformity Management
- Detect, analyze, and document quality incidents.
- Organize containment actions to prevent production impact.
- Drive corrective action plans using problem-solving methods (PDCA, 8D).
Continuous Improvement and Audits
- Lead continuous improvement projects with suppliers.
- Conduct supplier audits based on risk assessments.
- Identify and share best practices to enhance global supplier quality.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Maintain and update the list of critical suppliers.
- Contribute to reducing non-quality costs.
- Prepare and present periodic quality reports and KPIs.
Coordination and Collaboration
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Group Quality).
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and external partners to ensure consistent quality performance.
Profile
Education & Experience
- Engineering degree, with at least 5 years of experience in supplier quality, industrial quality, or a related function.
Technical Skills
- Conversational level of English required; French is an advantage.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Solid understanding of industrial processes and procedures.
- Proficiency with quality tools (8D, Ishikawa, Pareto, PDCA, etc.) and knowledge of QSE and ISO standards.
- Experience with ISO ratings or audits is a plus.
